Our buying hours if you have treasures to sell are:  Monday through Saturday, 12 to 5.  We're always looking for Eastern and Western Philosophy, Artist's Monographs, Greek & Roman Classics, Hardboiled Fiction, Metaphysics and interesting and/or contemporary fiction by Robert Aickman,  Paul and Jane Bowles, Bukowski, Beckett, Paul Auster, Haruki Murakami, Cormac McCarthy, Charles Portis, Anna Kavan,  Jonathan Lethem, E.T.A. Hoffmann, Kurt Vonnegut, Roberto Bolanos, Zora Neale Hurston, Jose Saramago etc.

We're also always looking for sweet sweet vinyl.  Especially punk, soul, electronic, psych, latin, african, contemporary and free jazz, experimental and Mrs. Miller.

We "garner & vend" used & remaindered books, CDs, LPs, 45s, new magazines, & small press, as well as hosting performances at the Red Room.

Our stock is very broad & we have a penchant for the obscure & hard to find... drop in & visit us if you can. We buy used stuff--but call before bringing anything in! We are open seven days a week, plus we do mail-order & gift certificates. We now also accept Visa and MasterCard.

We search for books, LPs & CDs
Send us a detailed request and we will search our stock for specific items you want.

We aren't your usual anything, figuratively speaking. Probably the best way to experience us is to spend two or three days lurking in our store, dressed as a turk. An easier way is to read this.

"A hotbed of...something."
Performance, publications, and Web linkery - it all starts here. Check out our Red Room performance space! Heaps of Normal's-related projects & publishing ("the Shattered Wig"), and links to the outside world that we want to plug...plus featured small press & unusual music.
